BioBag Ireland & UK is now  able to supply  ‘glass clear‘ compostable bags to farmers to package leaves such as kale, spinach, rocket and lettuce.  Consumers can put our bags straight into their organic waste/ Brown Bins for composting once  the contents are gone. Our bags are certified compostable by all the major agencies worldwide and will compost down completely in both industrial compostors and home compost piles, leaving no harmful plastic residues behind.  Until now these bags have been extremely difficult to source , but BioBag now have one of only 5 machines in Europe which can manufacture these bags.

WHAT ARE BIOBAG CLEAR & COMPOSTABLE SALAD BAGS MADE FROM?

BioBag salad bags  start life as a thistle, grown on non arable land for sustainability.

WHAT ARE THE BAGS SUITABLE FOR?

BioBag salad bags are suitable for washed, loose salad leaves and heads of lettuce. They are food safe and can be reused by consumers in a kitchen compost caddy to collect food scraps and leftovers.

ARE BIOBAG SALAD BAGS GMO FREE?

Yes. All BioBag products are made from GMO free crops.

WHAT SIZE IS THE BIOBAG CLEAR SALAD BAG

The bag pictured is 300 x 400 mm with  a 30 mm gusset.  We are able to make bags to almost any required size  (minimum order quantities apply).

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM ORDER SIZE?

We ship our bags in pallets of 120,000 bags per pallet. If your business is not producing on that scale, why not make your current packaging supplier aware of us or contact us at rory@biobagworld.com and we will try and put you in touch with a supplier in your area.

CAN THE BAG BE PRINTED WITH A LOGO.

Yes. We can have your logo or message printed onto to bag or they can be unbranded. The bags are also suitable to have a label affixed to them.

WHAT ARE THE QUALITY AND STANDARDS I CAN EXPECT FROM BIOBAG SALAD BAGS?

All BioBag products, including clear salad bags, are certified compostable and biodegradable according to the European Standard EN 134532, the US Standard ASTM D6400n and the Australian Standard AS 4736. BioBag holds compostable and biodegradable certificates issued by several certification institutes like AIB Vincotte (OK Compost), DIN Certco, BPI (USA) as well as other specialised certifications such as the GMO-free certificate.
